the sketches I struggle with, and end up thinking "these are just no good" are usually the most well received online. I wonder why that is?

second one is a Gil Elvgren study from a great Taschen book I picked up. This guy was THE pinup artist of the 50's and 60's, and theres a impressionistic vibrancy to some of his work that I'm still trying to dissect.
